One of several huge cross roads: Susanne taking pictures in all directions - usually three lead to nowhere, the outback around Aramac, QLD

Almost a year back, it was Susanne's idea to go on this Cattle Drive. In 2002 a three-month revival was organized to remember the tradition of cattle droving which made the outback "accessible and a civilized country" more than 100 years ago. This large part of the country is the back bone of Australia. Nowadays it takes place every year as a three-week event. We decided to ride for four days. The principle is simple and easy to describe: You ride on a horse droving cattle slowly from A to B to give the cows time to graze.
