One of six wide plains that may become impassible after heavy rain

For the first two lakes we easily found the detours the lady at the information centre mentioned. But there were no obvious "official" ones for the lakes 3 to 6. We thought there are no detours and we have to stick to the "road". A guy on a motor bike who we met in the early morning of day 2 told us that we should hurry to get through the lakes, but "Once you are in the desert (past the lakes) you'll be fine". Corinne walked ahead to check how deep the mud and water is and how solid the basis is. She gave me a sign with the umbrella if she considered a crossing to be safe. We were alone, and really wanted to avoid getting bogged in the middle of such a lake filling up with water - not so nice spending the night out here.
