Hiking along the beaches of Moreton Island NP

From Tangalooma we hiked down the west coast of Moreton Island in two days to the most southern point, Kooringal. It is about 20km, sometimes in soft and dry sand, sometimes on wide beaches, then there are sections as in the picture above where the beach is narrow and some mangrove trees grow in the saltwater and in the end the trail meanders through forest, where we appreciated the shadow, because the sun can really burn hot. In the middle of the track we set up camp at a lonesome spot directly at the beach. From a distance we observed how a thunder-storm moved over the sea.
